HELMSLEY Market Place could be given a revamp.
As part of the Renaissance Market Town scheme, car parking is one issue being looked at.
Consultants have suggested car parking should be reduced and up to 100 places provided in the Cleveland Way park.
Twenty-minute free parking has also been suggested, along with the creation of a pedestrian route from the Cleveland Way park to Castlegate.
Consultation will be carried out by the end of the year, which Yorkshire Forward will be asked to fund. The consultees will be asked if the Market Place should stay as it is or if parking should be reduced or banned.
