HEALTH and fitness events designed for people over 50 are to be held at three Sedgefield venues.
The 50plus your health roadshow will include three events co-ordinated by Sedgefield Primary Care Trust and the Pioneering Care Partnership.
Health care staff will offer people a free health check, information and advice about how to improve health and stay fit and safe.
Sedgefield Borough Council, Durham County Council, Age Concern County Durham, Durham Constabulary and Sedgefield Locality Carers Centre are also partners in the initiative.
The first event will be at Spennymoor Leisure Centre on Tuesday, October 11, from 10am to 2pm.
There will be general health, blood pressure and diabetes checks, free flu jabs for over 65s and complimentary therapy taster sessions.
Similar events will also be held at Chilton Workingmen's Club, on October 20, and Newton Aycliffe Youth Centre, on November 3, from 10am to 1pm.
