TWO pensioners and a residential care home have won luxury hampers in a prize draw.
Stockton Borough Council's community wardens put together gift baskets from donations made by local shops and businesses, helping to give something back to some of the town's most valued residents in aid of Age Concern.
Entry to the raffle was free, with wardens handing out tickets to older residents in sheltered housing and bingo halls across the borough.
The hampers contained a range of treats including gift vouchers, chocolates, spirits, tea bags and wine.
The draw was made by the Mayor Councillor Mick Stoker earlier this month and first prize went to Owen Hart, of Thornaby, with Ida Clark, from Stockton, the runner-up.
Third prize went to Roseworth Lodge Care Home, in Stockton.
Graeme Small, council enforcement co-ordinator, said: "About 500 tickets were given out for the draw and it has been a huge success."
