TWENTY listed bungalows are to be restored to their former glory.
Coast & Country Housing plans to modernise the Grade II-listed properties in Dormans Crescent, Dormanstown, near Redcar, which were built in 1931.
The company has been working with Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council to ensure the original design of the properties is preserved.
Jack Hurst, Coast & Country's head of asset management, said: "The bungalows were last modernised in the 1970s, but the programme of works was not in keeping with the original design.
"In partnership with the council, the police and tenants, we are implementing a fresh modernisation programme that will enable the bungalows to regain some of their former character."
