HOSPITAL staff are preparing to promote the services they offer to people across the Hambleton and Richmondshire districts.
Occupational Therapy Week runs from Monday to next Saturday and the team from the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton, aims to play its part.
Occupational therapists help people who are ill, disabled or feeling the effects of ageing to do the things that are important to them - such as preparing a meal, working or undertaking a hobby.
The Friarage team are having a stand in the staff restaurant on Wednesday demonstrating the range of equipment and aids to help people manage household tasks.
Therapist Christine Moffatt said: "People often tell us about the difference their occupational therapist has made to their lives and we are keen to demonstrare to people how we can do this. We are holding a quiz asking people to identify the uses of various pieces of equipment, with a prize going to the person with the most correct answers."
