THE emergency services are among a host of agencies taking part in two open days next month.
Residents in Bishop Auckland and Crook are invited to the events to find out what services are available in the area.
Among those taking part are respresentatives from Wear Valley street wardens, anti-social behaviour unit, community safety unit, domestic violence and outreach service, Police crime prevention officer, police beat team.
Staff from Homeline, Wear Valley District Council housing department, a drug awareness group, fire and rescue service, money and debt advice service and trading standards will also be there.
Roger Ward, manager of the Wear Valley Street Wardens, said: "We want as many people as possible to come along so they can see what services we are offering and what is available to them."
The first open day is on Thursday, October 20, at the Proudfoot Drive Community Centre, from 10am to 2pm.
The second event is on Wednesday, October 26, from 10am to 2pm, at Park Avenue Close Community Centre, Crook.
