A Cleveland craft shop is looking for help to build the biggest knitting ball in Guisborough in aid of Help the Aged.
Stan Frank, from Leven Crafts, Guisborough, is asking people to donate yarn for the project which will take place during National Knitting Week, beginning October 10. Both Help the Aged and Leven Crafts are encouraging people to come in and knit some square patches. Simple pattern, wool and needles will be provided.
The ball will then be measured on December 6. The organisers ask anyone who is knitting at home to send their contributions in by December 3.
The patches that make up the ball will be made into colourful throws which will be available to buy from either shop with all the proceeds going to Help the Aged.
