A SURVEY has revealed the level of trust and confidence patients in Wear Valley and Teesdale have in their doctors and dentists.
Eighty four per cent of the 850 people questioned by the Healthcare Commission said they trusted their general practitioners and dentists in the Durham Dales Primary Care Trust area.
Another 94 per cent of patients said their doctor always treated them with dignity and respect, while 76 per cent were involved in decisions about their care and treatment.
Seventy per cent were registered with an NHS dentist, with most of the rest saying they would like to be.
Andrew Young, the trust's acting chief executive, said: "The information from the survey will be used by the trust to develop a detailed action plan, which will consider all the feedback, and is currently being developed in response to the survey's findings.
