Catterick's Garrison Radio, in North Yorkshire, has a new presenter for its service aimed at soldiers and families. Former Heartland FM and Perth FM host HAL STEWART has taken over the breakfast show at a time when the Army service is awaiting a decision by broadcast authority Ofcom on a move to an FM frequency.
A relative newcomer to radio, 22 year-old Mr Stewart said he was relishing the work.
He first gained work experience at Make Poverty History Radio, broadcasting around the world live from Edinburgh. In Perthshire he has presented the Heartland FM breakfast show and the Perth FM weekend breakfast show.
From York, he joins the Garrison Radio team and can be heard six mornings a week on the station.
