A TEN-YEAR-OLD girl is afraid to leave her home after two teenage yobs robbed her of her mobile phone.
Kayleigh Storey was punched in the mouth by the pair, who told her they would look for her if she reported the robbery to anyone.
Her mobile - a Christmas present - was found smashed, its Sim card torn in two.
Her mother, Angela, said: "At first I was devastated and quite angry that someone could do this to a ten-year-old girl. She has a busted lip and we also thought she might have a black eye after being elbowed in the face.
"Quite a few of her friends now know what happened and she is scared of bumping into these two again.
"She is wary and scared about going out now."
Kayleigh was walking between Bolckow Street and Oak Road, Guisborough, east Cleveland, when she was attacked by the thugs, both thought to be about 14, at about 4.45pm on Saturday.
Both were about 5ft 5in and white. One of her attackers wore a black beanie hat and a blue hooded top with white lettering on the sleeves and right chest, matching tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
The other wore black-rimmed glasses, a black hooded top, tracksuit bottoms tucked into white socks and gold Nike trainers.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on (01642) 302626.
