PEOPLE in Middlesbrough are being given the chance to learn how to lead a safer and healthier lifestyle.
The Ayresome Community Enterprise is holding an environment, security and safety day, which includes advice from the fire service, free energy checks, security advice as well as addressing exercise, healthy eating and stopping smoking.
Visitors will be able to buy a shredder to dispose of confidential documents for £5 and television gardener Simon Cross will be on hand with information on choosing plants that can make properties safer.
The free event takes place on Thursday, between 10am and 4pm at the ACE Centre in Parliament Road.
