POLICE said last night there were still no plans for a criminal investigation into the latest actions of flyaway mother Kelly Ann Rogerson.
The 24-year-old had her three children taken away for the second time on Friday night after social services visited her Darlington home.
The two girls and a boy, all aged under five, were placed with their father and grandmother at another address in the town.
The development meant Miss Rogerson, also known as Miss Piggford, hit the headlines again, less than a month after she was given a six-month prison sentence - suspended for 12 months - by South Durham magistrates.
On August 31, she admitted three charges of child neglect, which were brought against her after she left the children with a 15-year-old babysitter while she went on holiday to Turkey.
If a criminal case was brought, Miss Rogerson could face a jail sentence if she was again found guilty of neglect.
Inspector Alan Davidson, of Darlington police, said last night: "She has voluntarily given the children up and social services have placed them with the father. There aren't any criminal matters being investigated at this stage."
The children's paternal grandmother, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said: "I am looking after the kids. They were taken away from her on Friday.
"She had gone out on Thursday, at 8.30pm, and she did not come back until 6.30am on Friday.
"They were not on their own but they were expecting her home."
Miss Rogerson was unavailable for comment.
