A COLLEGE worker has been shortlisted for a national award.
Pauline Snowball, a network challenge lecturer at Bishop Auckland College, County Durham, has been shortlisted from 3,400 people for a Star Award.
The prizes reward unsung heroes of the learning and skills sector.
Mrs Snowball, who was nominated by her head of school, said: "I do what I do because I enjoy working with special young people who deserve a chance to succeed. This award is really about them."
The Star Awards ceremony will take place in London next month.
