A POPULAR band is to reform for an annual music event.
Barnard Castle's annual Big Live Gig music event takes place on October 21 and tickets are expected to sell out fast.
The event is the sixth one to be organised by Teesdale Community Resources (TRC) to showcase the musical talent in Teesdale, County Durham.
This year's event is to return indoors at the Jersey Farm Hotel after a successful outdoor event last year.
TCR music project worker Andrew Yeadon is putting the ten-act line-up together.
He said: "Due to the ever- increasing popularity of the TCR music project, I am faced with a larger number of bands than ever before wanting to play, the majority of which are very high quality.
"I will again be able to claim that this will be the best line-up for a Big Live Gig."
Bands and acts performing include Dadu, who have been prolific on the local rock scene in the last 12 months, The Catch, who were finalists in last year's North-East battle of the bands, and the TCR Blues Band. Others include The Finger Wizards, Idaia, Habit and Soundbite 101.
Andrew Yeadon is also likely to appear.
Also playing will be the Scarlets, featuring Dave Kidd, Robert Wake and Tom Slack.
The trio have played at all five Big Live Gigs and have reformed in order not to break their record of consecutive appearances.
Tickets cost £5 and are available from TCR, in Birch Road, Barnard Castle, or by calling (01833) 690150.
