COUNCILLORS are to consider a report on Darlington's efforts to become a breastfeeding-friendly town.
The borough council has been eager to improve services in the local area and asked an independent firm to look into how that could be achieved.
Darlington has one of the lowest rates in the country for women who feed their babies this way.
Tomorrow, the council's social affairs and health scrutiny will debate a weighty report by Warrington company, Meridien Pure.
The document is designed to provide councillors with evidence and analysis of progress made on the issue and outline how more opportunities to support breastfeeding can be introduced.
The committee meets in the town hall tomorrow afternoon.
