BOTANIST Dr David Bellamy will re-launch a community bus service for people with transport and mobility problems in the Durham Dales.
The TV conservationist will visit the Durham Dales Centre on Thursday to celebrate the return of Weardale Community Transport's Healthy Living Partnership minibus.
The 14-seat vehicle, which has space for two wheelchair users, will be available to all community groups in Teesdale and Wear Valley with access and mobility problems because of rural location or disability.
The bus has been restored thanks to the Big Lottery Fund, Durham County Council and the Durham Dales Primary Care Trust.
