VANDALS set fire to a sports pavilion used by children's football teams.
A wooden building, used as a changing room at Smith's Dock Park, Grangetown, was destroyed by the blaze just before 8.30pm on Thursday.
Fire crews managed to stop the fire destroying four portable cabins nearby.
Grangetown fire station watch manager Tony Suggitt said: "It is being treated as deliberate.
"The wooden building was destroyed and there were four other portable cabins, also used as changing rooms, which we managed to save, although one was slightly damaged."
