A DELIVERY driver has beenrobbed at knifepoint.
The incident happened just before 1pm on Thursday, in Walker Road, underneath a railway bridge near Glass-house Street, Newcastle.
When the driver was threatened with a knife, he handed over his wallet and mobile phone, at which point a second man appeared on a motorbike.
The driver ran inside the van cab and the robber took his Garman Quest satellite navigation device.
The robber on foot was described as white, 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in, aged 16 to 22, slim and with a North-East accent. He was wearing a royal blue bomber-style jacket.
The second man, who also had a North-East accent, was wearing a blue motorcycle helmet, black waterproof jacket and blue jeans. The motorbike was an off-road style green Kawasaki motorbike with blue accessories.
