ANGLERS are lining up to cast their lines in a major annual fishing event on the North-East coast.
The 21st Seaham Sea Angling Competition takes place on Sunday, November 27, along the town's seafront, from Hawthorn Hive, in the south, to Hendon Groyne, in the north.
Seaham Town Council is staging the popular competition, offering prizes in seven different categories.
The top prize is £350, plus a trophy, with other cash prizes down to £25 for some of the category winners.
Anyone wishing to take part must register on the day, at Seaham Angling Club's Clifford House premises, in South Terrace, with catches recorded between noon and 5pm.
Further details of the event and copies of the competition rules are available from the council, on 0191-581 8034.
