Darlington Mowden Park will have two former Blaydon players in their pack at home to Bradford and Bingley tomorrow following the loss of No 8 Jason Smithson to Newcastle Falcons.
Ex-Marine Gavin Stainsby, who played in the back row for Blaydon, will be at lock as Anthony Peck is unavailable, while Ricky Bagier will be at open side.
Matt Holmes switches to No 8 for Smithson, who has been awarded a contract by the Falcons following the loss of Phil Dowson for six months through injury.
Prop Danny Brown is also back in the Falcons' Development XV and Mowden expect to have to do without him for a few weeks.
They also introduce New Zealander Junior Fagalilo at blind side, although he can also play at hooker, while another ex-Blaydon man, James Tyrrell, comes in on the wing with Mattie Barker dropping to the bench.
Tyrrell joined Mowden three years ago, but his appearances have been limited by injury and studying for medical exams.
Prop Ian Keeligan makes his first start of the season, and fly half Jonny Golightly and centre Gareth Kerr return after injury. Sio Atelemo switches from centre to his preferred position at full back, with Michael Breen on the wing.
Darlington have named Falcons Academy flanker Phil Dawson at centre for their match at Kendal, with Ben Snook moving to full back as Apeni Kororua is unavailable.
Lee Davies, the Yorkshire Under 20s player from Middlesbrough, will provide cover on the bench in an otherwise unchanged team.
Blaydon hope to have centre Martin Shaw and flanker Pat Segi back after injury for the visit of Cleckheaton, while No 8 Ed Thorpe could return in next week's Powergen National Trophy tie at home to Mowden.
Last year's leading try scorer, winger Simon Barber, has returned from the United States and comes into the squad.
