DAIRY staff have donated £150 to an aromatherapy treatment fund.
The money was raised at an event organised by workers at Arla Foods, in Northallerton, to mark the centenary of the dairy at the Romanby Road site.
It was presented to Kathryn Almond, from the Alastair Bullen Aromatherapy Fund, a charity founded by a former patient of the Friarage Hospital and maintained by public support.
The fund allows Friarage patients to receive aromatherapy, despite it not being available on the NHS.
The donation was prompted by a suggestion from Lynn Alderson, the wife of an Arla Foods employee, who recently underwent surgery for breast cancer and is receiving aromatherapy treatment at the Friarage.
