A SINGLE mother who was helped back into work by a Government initiative will feature on a national television programme.
Sue Terry, 36, who found work through the SureStart scheme in Redcar, east Cleveland, has been interviewed for the BBC's Panorama documentary.
The mother-of-two, who lives on the Lakes Estate, spent a day with a film crew at the Green Gates SureStart Children's Centre, in Redcar, as part of a programme about Britain's economy.
Ms Terry was asked about her experiences of SureStart, how she found out about the organisation and how it helped her find employment. She now works at the centre part- time. She said: "I got involved in SureStart after taking my children to activities when they were much younger.
"I then joined its steering group, looking at ways of improving health and education in the community."
The Panorama documentary is due to be broadcast on Sunday, on BBC1, at 10.15pm.
