GRANDMOTHER Nancy Ord is taking her grandson to court after he borrowed £22,000 - then disappeared in a new Ferrari.
Mrs Ord, 77, hasn't seen a penny since giving 23-year-old Andrew Gough the loan.
Yesterday, the arthritic pensioner took her grandson to South Shields County Court where he was ordered to pay back the £22,000.
But Mr Gough, now penniless and living in a hostel on benefits, said he could only pay the money back at a rate of £5 a month.
Nancy, of Grosvenor Road, South Shields, South Tyneside, would have to live to 161 to recoup the £22,000.
She said: "I am an old woman and I need the money back and I am trying all sorts of ways to do it."
She told the court Mr Gough turned up on her doorstep in a Porsche and said he was the grandchild she hadn't seen for more than a decade.
After gaining her trust, he asked for the deposit to import the Ferrari from the US.
Mrs Ord passed over her savings but says Mr Gough drove straight back out of her life.
She added: "My relationship with my daughter broke down when Andrew was just a little boy over something I thought was quite small and I hadn't seen him for years, when he suddenly arrived."
Last year, Mr Gough wrote to Mrs Ord's solicitor saying at least £20,000 would be paid as soon as possible, but she received nothing.
