YOUNG film producers are premiering their work next week before it is entered into a national competition.
Pupils from Holy Family RC, Middleton St George, North Road, Red Hall and St John's Church of England primary schools have taken part in a year-long digital video project organised by Darlington Borough Council's e-Learning team.
In a series of workshops and lessons, the children found out about animation, use of colour and sound and camera shots.
They used their new skills to make a two-minute video for the Becta Creativity in Digital Media Awards.
Before the videos are sent off to the competition, they will be shown at an event at Carmel RC Technology College, tomorrow.
Chris McEwan, the council's cabinet member for children's services, will open the event, which will allow parents, head teachers from Darlington primary schools and other interested parties to see the children's work.
After the videos have been shown the children will vote for their favourite and the winners will spend a day at Teesside University's Media Centre.
All the entries will be sent to the Becta Creativity in Digital Media Awards which are judged in October.
