BANDS from across the world played through the night to round off this year's Darlington music and beer festival.
The new line-up of 1960s band The Animals played to enthusiastic crowds on the last day of the Rhythm 'n' Brews festival. Their set included classics like House of the Rising Sun.
The live music extravaganza in the Market Place also included entertainment from Mississippi's Lil' Dave Thompson and the Kyla Brox Band, from Manchester.
It marked the end of the four-day festival, which was held in Darlington Arts Centre, and which included a range of 50 ales provided by the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra).
The festival is now in its 26th year in Darlington, and organisers have hailed it as one of the most successful so far.
