CROWDS flocked to Teesdale this weekend to mark an agricultural show's 130th anniversary.
Eggleston Show celebrated its second year at its new venue at Streatlam Farm, near Barnard Castle, with more entries than the previous year and bigger crowds.
Dry weather and the steady stream of visitors contributed towards a successful event.
This year, there were more horse classes than ever and junior horse driving classes were introduced.
There was also a high number of entries for both the sheep and cattle classes.
The show committee transferred the event out of its home village for the first time last year after the showfield at High Shipley became too small.
It has proved to be a good move so far, according to show secretary George Lawson.
He said: "It has been a good show. The weather has been kind to us and everything has gone smoothly. People seem to have enjoyed themselves.
"The quality of the cattle has been particularly excellent this year. It is hoped that the new ground will be a permanent venue.
Mr Lawson said: "The old ground was a nice ground, but it just wasn't big enough anymore. We outgrew it. We are hoping that Streatlam will be our permanent home from now on. It certainly will be for the foreseeable future.''
Show results will be published tomorrow.
