RAF crews marched through a North city yesterday to mark the 65th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
Airmen and women from RAF Linton-on-Ouse, in North Yorkshire, paraded through York.
They were joined by veterans from the Royal Air Forces Association and Royal Observer Corps for a memorial service at York Minster.
The standards of Linton's 72 and 207 squadrons were on display during the parade.
The 72 Squadron flew Spitfires during the Battle of Britain, while 207 Squadron flew Lancaster bombers.
Nine Tucano aircraft from Linton took part in a flypast over the Minster.
Lord Mayor of York Janet Greenwood told the aircrew: "We can see through the squadrons on parade here today how integral they are not only to our country but also to our city.
"We are proud that you are based near York."
