JOBSEEKERS in the Tees Valley can look forward to a day at the races through a new employment scheme.
As part of Pertemps Employment Zone initiative, the firm has teamed up with Redcar Racecourse and has supplied six members of staff this season.
To mark the partnership, and encourage further awareness with other businesses, a special racing event will take place on Wednesday at the racecourse.
Colin Birchall, chief executive of Pertemps Employment Alliance, said: "We are delighted to have formed such a close relationship with Redcar Racecourse, it is an excellent sporting venue and a great place to work.
"As an organisation which seeks to empower the people we work with, we are always trying to strike up relationships with organisations who we know we can provide with good staff and who we know can give us great job opportunities with which to inspire people."
The company already has relationships with many organisations including Middlesbrough Football Club and the Professional Cricketers Association.
Wednesday's event will be attended by thirty of the region's most influential business people.
Neil Etherington, chief executive of Redcar Racecourse, said: "We have already had six employees join the racecourse as a result and are looking forward to working with them again next season."
