Darlington RA manager David Woodcock feels his team has adapted to life in the League after they went top of the Second Division with a 3-1 win at Prudhoe on Saturday.

The trip to Prudhoe was the RA's seventh straight away game since the start of the season and Woodcock said: "It took the players a couple of games to find their feet in this League but the place has been buzzing over the last five matches.

"The players have been working really hard for each other and they've been creating chances left, right and centre.

"We've built on every game we've played and to win at Prudhoe shows how far we've come."

Mark Radmore opened the scoring for the RA when he played a one-two on the edge of the box and fired home, then Warren Byrne dribbled down the left and squeezed the ball home from an acute angle.

Byrne then scored his 16th league goal of the season when he cut in from the wing and scored from the edge of the box. Prudhoe grabbed a late consolation through Steve Mason.
