THE region's biggest dog show ended yesterday with organisers refusing to speculate on the location of next year's event.
Darlington Dog Show was held at Newby Hall, near Ripon, North Yorkshire, because the usual venue, South Park, in Darlington, is being refurbished.
More than 8,000 dogs and their owners enjoyed three days of good weather and the show was declared a success.
Vice-chairwoman Sarah Allsopp said: "Setting up the show was relatively trouble- free and people have commented on how accessible the site is."
She added: "Darlington Borough Council is more than happy to have us return. We will have to wait and see how South Park comes along."
