A "one-stop" shop offering local people all their council services under one roof has opened its doors.
The new office is the latest phase of a £7m community facility for Stokesley which also houses a new library and resource centre, office facilities and meeting rooms as well as extra care apartments.
The joint Hambleton District Council, North Yorkshire County Council and Broadacres Housing Association scheme came on line this summer when the first residents began moving into their new flats.
Residents from Springfield House residential home in the town were transferred to the Town Close apartments which have 24-hour care and communal facilities.
The one-stop shop is able to handle all existing services, from paying a bill to collecting a car park disc. Surgeries are also planned for specific services.
It also houses a remote contact centre which can link directly with the main offices at the Civic Centre in Northallerton to answer more detailed queries.
The office in North Road, Stokesley, is open from 8.45am to 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.45am to 4.45pm on Fridays.
