STUDENTS who took part in a summer school rounded off their project with a performance and display for parents and teachers.
Sixty children took part in the event showing off their skills in drama, dance, art, music and technical topics in a show performed in Bishop Auckland Town Hall. They also unveiled their own DVD. The youngsters were all from schools in the Bishop Auckland Excellence Cluster and had spent part of their summer holidays working with mentors and specialists.
The project adopted the theme of a roller coaster because it encouraged children to examine the emotional ups and downs of their daily lives.
