A HARLEY Davidson was stolen from a garage in the early hours of yesterday.
The Harley Davidson Road King is worth more than £16,000 and was stolen when thieves cut through the garage door and security chains on the bike.
It was kept at Hole Lane, Whickham, and recently had a windscreen fitted together with several other expensive additions.
The bike's owner had recently attended a cycle rally in Brighton over the weekend of September 10 and it is possible the vehicle could have been targeted.
It is a very distinctive bike and will be difficult to conceal given its size and weight.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Whickham police on 0191-454 7555, ext 64326, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
