A TEESDALE roofing firm has resubmitted plans to build a new factory.
Planners have recommend approval is granted for the proposed unit for CA Group at Evenwood Industrial Estate.
A similar application for a 93 metre by 36 metre building was approved by Teesdale District Council in November last year.
However, the new application has been submitted as the company's health and safety officer said the approved building could not have been used as it would have posed problems for lorries turning.
Residents had complained about noise from the factory.
Council officers have tried to address this by adding restrictions on when the doors to the unit can be opened and when fork-lift trucks can use audible warnings.
A planning committee will discuss the plan on Wednesday.
