POLICE have said they are still baffled by the disappearance of teenager Jenny Nicholl.
It is now 12 weeks since the 19-year-old was last seen by her parents at her home in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
Despite searches of countryside, door-to-door enquiries and the release of details to every police force in the country, her whereabouts are still not known.
Last night, the teenager's friends and acquaintances spoke of their growing concern.
Matthew Young, a barman at the Buck Inn, in Richmond, used to drink with Miss Nicholl.
He said: "I can't imagine how her parents must feel - it must be awful.
"People just want to know that she's all right."
His father, landlord Alan Young, added: "She was in here just about every day.
"She always came across as a very nice lass."
Police say that, despite the lack of progress, the search will continue.
A spokesman said: "The incident room is still open and we are continuing our enquiries. We're still looking for that vital piece of information that's going to lead us to her."
Miss Nicholl was last seen by her parents on Thursday, June 30.
She was reported missing when she failed to turn up at the Co-op, in Richmond - where she worked - the following Monday.
Her car was found abandoned the same day in the car park of the Holly Hill Inn, on the outskirts of the town.
Friends who attended St Francis of Xavier School with Miss Nicholl have described her as a popular, funny and friendly girl.
