AN initiative has been launched to help the unemployed get out of the dole queue and back into work.
It allows people across North Yorkshire the opportunity for specialist job search help and advice without having to travel to the nearest JobCentre.
Outreach Plus is operated by the county council's employment training services team from the network of library and information centres across the county and various National Health Service venues.
John Fort, the county's executive member for lifelong learning, said: "This is an ambitious campaign for an excellent programme delivering much-needed services right to the heart of our communities.
"If you're unemployed, look out for the employment training services co-ordinators in your area. They'll be on hand to help develop your skills and give you the best possible advice on finding a job."
The free services available include CV preparation, IT training, job search guidance and support, links to appropriate job vacancies and free travel and childcare costs.
