FLOORING company Storey Carpets has won a national retail award for the fourth consecutive year.
The Sunderland-based company was named Retailer of the Year at the National Flooring Show, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, beating competition from national brands.
Storey chief executive Simon Heptinstall said: "We have grown dramatically over the past few years by following a simple philosophy of putting ourselves in the shoes of our customers and asking what would delight us.
"And the message is clear that our approach to bring the best range in flooring to our customers is the right way to do things."
The group, which recently opened a store at Durham City Retail Park, has a workforce of more than 360.
