YOUNG and old came together for the launch of a three-year crime strategy.
Richmondshire Community Safety Partnership unveiled its 2005-2008 crime reduction strategy at Richmond's station building.
Two further strategies, one for domestic abuse and one for anti-social behaviour, were also launched at the event, which saw demonstrations of a police pro-laser speed gun and security marker paint Smartwater.
Also on show was a fire engine, a police traffic car and a selection of mobile skate ramps, as well as information on Border and Dales Watch, the latest anti drink drive campaign.
Partnership co-ordinator, Lynda MacDougall said: "We have worked hard to find out residents views on crime levels and perceptions of community safety to create these strategies. We wanted people to come and meet the partners, and also find out about our plans for the future."
