A GROUP for people with back pain is moving to a more central location to accommodate its growing membership.

Having been up and running for nearly a year, the Teesside branch of Action on Pain continues to expand, with good attendance at most meetings.

Chairman Ian Semmons believes the move to a more accessible location will attract greater membership.

He said: "It has been a very good year for the branch, as we have been able to help a considerable number of people living with chronic pain. We are, however, concerned that we are not reaching out to as many people as we could.

"The members felt the location, out on Tees Barrage, was not the best in terms of access and public transport links. We have, therefore, taken the decision to move to a more central location, which is far more accessible and suitable for our needs.

"The location offers good public transport links, ample parking and easy ground-floor access."

The next meeting takes place on Monday, September 19, between 2pm and 4pm, at Linthorpe Community Centre, Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough, when the guest speaker will be a member of staff from the Pensions Service.
