HEALTH workers have been honoured for their years of service and success in passing exams.
Staff from the Durham and Chester-le-Street Primary Care Trust (PCT) and GP surgeries, dental practices, opticians and pharmacies received certificates for long service or educational achievement at the trust's annual meeting.
The presentation was made by Durham MP Roberta Blackman-Woods and the trust's chairwoman, Lady Ann Calman.
Fifteen members of staff from the PCT and local family practitioners with more than 25, 30, or 35 years service with the NHS were recognised for their loyalty.
Eight members of staff received awards for successes in exams.
More staff will receive awards in the near future.
