A DRIVER who ran a red light at a level crossing, was banned from driving for two months by Harrogate magistrates yesterday.
David O'Neil, 61, of Gallows Hill Park, Ripon, was spotted by crossing keeper Colin Skinner when Audi passed the crossing, on the A61 Harrogate-York road, just before the barriers were lowered.
O'Neil told the court he could not produce his driving licence as it had been lost when he moved from Northumberland nine years ago.
Court chairman Tim Burrell told O'Neil his driving had put not only road users but train passengers in danger.
As well as the ban, he imposed a £100 fine and £60 costs
