YOUNG people at Grove Hill and Thorntree Youth and Community Centre have shown how enthusiasm and commitment can get a job done in record time.
They are taking part in an e2e (Entry to Employment) programme, and were asked to redesign and decorate a room at each of the Middlebrough community centres in five weeks. They completed the task in less than two weeks.
Course tutor Mark Horkan, from Middlesbrough Youth Service, said: "This is a great achievement for these youngsters and one they can be justly proud of.
"It goes to show that with the right level of support and encouragement, all young people can reach their full potential.
"Not only have they completely revamped these two rooms in record time, they've shown how effectively they can work together as a team and as individuals."
The project is a partnership between Middlesbrough Council's youth service and Middlesbrough Enterprise Academy.
The programme aims to help 11 to 19-year-olds find out about the world of business, customer service and self-employment.
