YOUNGSTERS from Bishop Auckland joined one of the country's leading saxophonists for a morning of making music.
Snake Davis, who has played with many stars, including Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox, Lisa Stansfield and M People, visited Bishop Auckland Town Hall yesterday to introduce young people to the sounds of woodwind instruments.
About 70 children turned out to the event. Mr Davis gave a performance and then invited the youngsters to have a go.
Mr Davis, who has visited the town several times, said he was impressed by the enthusiasm of those taking part and said it was such a success he would return.
He said: "There is always a lovely crowd here and I always get a warm welcome.
"Today has been a great chance for the kids to see and play instruments they may not otherwise get to see and they seem to have enjoyed it.
