A CHURCH garden has been restored to its former glory with the help of college students.
Young people attached to the Millennium Volunteers and Environmental Action Group Agenda 21, based at Northallerton College, have spent months working on the garden at St Joseph's Church, Stokesley.
With the help of botanist Anne Press, they have cleared the weeds and overgrown shrubs and reinstated the vegetable patch.
Millennium Volunteer co-ordinator Donna Miskin said: "It is used by many groups for a variety of events and is now bright, tidy and full of colour again.
"It's been a real joint effort and every time you come over there is someone here doing a bit of weeding."
Monsignor Raymond Charlton said: "The garden looks fantastic. Everyone has done a great job - their help has been a godsend."
