The last remaining homes without power since violent thunderstorms battered the region on Wednesday have now been reconnected.
Supplies to 100,000 homes across the North East were disrupted after lightning strikes on electricity distribution equipment on Wednesday.
On Friday the last 24 customers in North Yorkshire were reconnected, energy supplier NEDL said.
The heavy downpours also caused flooding across the region.
A barn in Easingwold, near Thirsk, was completely destroyed after a lightning strike set it on fire. NEDL said more than 60 permanent faults had been caused by the "unusual nature of such a consistent lightning storm".
Spokesman Gary Flynn thanked customers for their patience and promised them a full explanation.
He said: "The field staff started before first light on Thursday and worked throughout the day to ensure by teatime on Thursday, only 900 out of the original 98,000 were still without power."
