MUSIC lovers had the chance to take part in a series of workshops at a community music event yesterday.
Scores of people young and old took part in the nine-hour music festival, held at The Forum in Darlington, and learned to play a host of instruments.
The event, supported by community groups across the town, featured performances by individuals and groups.
Iris Pichl-Mordue, a development worker with Darlington Community Partnership, hailed the event a success.
She said: "Children and adults were encouraged to take part in making music. It is good to bring people together for such fun events."
