A CAR made at Nissan's Sunderland plant has become its 10 millionth vehicle to be sold in Europe.
Nissan sold the vehicle in Portugal, where the company recently established a national sales company.
The milestone Wearside-built Nissan Micra was donated to a Portuguese charity.
Nearly two-thirds of all Nissans sold in the European market are built on Wearside and the four millionth car since production began in 1986 recently rolled off the production line.
