DETECTIVES are continuing to hunt for a youth who attacked a ten-month-old girl in her pushchair.
Sarah Ali was left battered and bruised by a teenager who tried to take her from her pushchair in Borough Road, Middlesbrough, a week ago.
Yasmin Ali was approached by a youth, who appeared to be drunk or under the influence of drugs.
When he failed to release Sarah's straps, he began lashing out with his fists, leaving Mrs Ali fearing for her young daughter's life.
After the incident, Sarah was taken to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, for checks.
The youth was white, aged 14 to 16, about 5ft 7in and scruffy.
He wore a light grey tracksuit with three white stripes on the arms and legs and scruffy trainers.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on (01642) 303126 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
