Darlington Football Club is making Friday night "party night" at a match rescheduled to suit fans.
The Quakers were scheduled to play at home against Notts County on Saturday -the same time as England's World Cup qualifier against Wales.
However, a text vote was set up for fans to choose when the match should be rescheduled, with a Friday night proving most popular.
The match will start at 7.30pm tomorrow, and the stadium bars are preparing for a party atmosphere after the game, with free food on offer and the players ready to join in the fun.
Club chairman Stewart Davies said: "This is the Friday kick-off the fans asked for and we want to make it a special night for the supporters, on and off the pitch.
"Our bars will be open until midnight and we hope the fans will join the team and staff from Darlington Football Club in the bar after the game to celebrate the start of the weekend.
"England's World Cup qualifier with Wales is a match all football fans want to see, so we are ensuring our loyal supporters do not miss out and kick off their weekend in a fun fashion."
