YOUNGSTERS have been using their creative talents to brighten up a disused pavilion.
The work was carried out by young people who are serving community punishment orders in the Middlesbrough area.
The colourful mural on the walls of the Thorntree Park Pavilion is in stark contrast to its previously rundown condition.
The deputy head of South Tees Youth Offending Service, Brian Leonard, praised the talent and hard work of the artists.
He said: "The idea came from local residents who lived in the area.
"They said it had become a bit of an eyesore, so it was decided to brighten it up a bit.
"The kids themselves came up with most of the ideas, with a little help from a designer, but it was the youngsters whocarried out the artistic work."
